In the age of digital photography and social media, Facebook has become for us what old shoeboxes were to our parents growing up - a place to store the photos that we want to keep, but don’t know what to do with. Even as a photographer, I am personally very guilty of this! I have so many beautiful photos buried in the archives of social media, yet the walls of my home are disappointingly blank. Not too long ago, we were feeling very convicted of this at my house, and we got on Amazon and ordered 22 picture frames. Two days later, they arrived, and now they sit and await the day they will be filled with 22 pictures from the years gone by. We’ve challenged ourselves to have this done by the end of this month, so let's see what we can do in the next two weeks! It’s hard it is to narrow down everything we’ve done, everywhere we’ve been, and everything we’ve captured into 22 frames. I already want to order another 100 more (my sweet husband reminded me that I cannot order more frames until I’ve filled the first 22)!

    At SSP, we really believe that the work we do leaves a lasting impression. I think about all the photos all over my grandparents home from 60 years of marriage, kids, and grandkids, and how every picture tells a story. With every picture, someone also has a story to tell - who made that dress, how many grandkids wore those same boots, how that was the ONLY picture the baby smiled for…these stories are so precious in the home where the photos are hung. They are there to remind us of the moments that, although we may never have them again, we can see them anytime we want. This is why we really believe in what we do.

This is why many of the larger sessions come with print credits - because we mean it! We want your home to become the home whose walls tell the story of your people through time. Whether you prefer prints to be framed, wrapped canvas, books, or other unique products, we can help you select the right images from your session to bring home with you. 

    Looking back the thousands of photos we have of our lives, it reminds me just how blessed we are to live in the age of digital photography. Even though most of our photos will remain in the depths of social media until Kingdom come, we at least have pictures of EVERYTHING. I’m currently sitting at my computer trying to cut about 40 photos down to 22 - choosing photos to print was difficult to narrow down, not difficult to come by. I’m so grateful for that! I’m also really grateful that SSP works with an incredible printer that will overnight photos right to your door :)
